India vs. Sri Lanka Cricket Score: India Wins First Match

We have some new now for all you cricket fans out there, as it has recently been announced that India won the first match against Sri Lanka, which was being played at Rajkot. This was despite the spirited Sri Lankan chase that brought the match down to wire.

Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan played a main role in the huge 414 run chase, but the loss of wickets in the ending stage of the match, just wasn’t good for the Sri Lankans. Losing Mathew Arnold’s wicket in the last over meant the match, went in India’s favor.

The Sri Lankan team needed 6 runs in two balls and two wickets were remaining as Ashish Nehra bowled. They then needed 5 runs in one ball to win the match, but unfortunately for them they just could not do so. You can read the full recap at merinews.com.
