According to recent news reports from people.com, 47-year old singer Garth Brooks is suing a medical center in Oklahoma for $500,000, after a quest to make his mother’s name “More Than a Memory” within the hospital went unfulfilled.
The recently out-of-retirement country singer says that four years ago, he gave $500,000 to Integris Canadian Valley Regional hospital in Oklahoma, to finance a building that would bear the name of his mother Colleen Brooks, who died of cancer in 1999.

But according to Brooks’ court filing, the hospital never included the promised building in a $27 million expansion project, meaning CVR were in breach of contract. A source that is close to the singer, said that Garth’s heart is broken over this.
