Atlanta Middle School receives $1.5 Million from Oprah Winfrey

It is a time of season of good will to all and Oprah Winfrey certainly seems in a festive mood as she donated $1.5 million to a private middle school in inner-city Atalanta, according to Associated Press.
The Queen of day time TV gave the money to The Ron Clark Academy, the school is trying to raise $2.8 million, however due to the economic climate they are struggling as the school is bankrolled by donors. The school is situated in one of the poorest areas; they hope to raise enough money to build a cafeteria, gymnasium and theater.
