It has recently been announced by the Football Association, that England will be playing Egypt in a FIFA World Cup 2010 warm-up friendly match. According to reports at telegraph.co.uk, the match will be taking place at Wembley, on March 3rd 2010.
The friendly international, which will be England’s first match of 2010, will give Fabio Capello’s players an opportunity to play against a team that has a similar style to Algeria, who managed to beat Egypt in the Africa zone sudden-death play-off last month.

England has now played Egypt twice, with the most recent game being at the World Cup in Italy 19 years ago. Sir Bobby Robson’s team won 1-0 then, thanks to a Mark Wright goal that put England through to the knockout stages. You can read more here.
