If you are a keen follower of the Barclays Premier League, you’ll know that Manchester City manager Mark Hughes was sacked over the weekend, despite his team’s 4-3 victory over Sunderland.
As reported from the BBC, Mark Hughes has said that he had ‘no idea’ that he was due to be sacked, stating that ”I was given no forewarning as to the club’s decision”, while also suggesting that the club went behind his back in appointing his immediate successor, Roberto Mancini – who was seen in the crowd at Saturday’s game.

It seems very harsh on Hughes, considering that his team were well on target for a top 6 finish, while they are also into the semi finals of the League cup – so it seems as if the owners had already made their mind up, that they wanted someone fresh in charge.
What do you think about the exit of Mark Hughes and the appointment of Italian Roberto Mancini? Is he the right man to take Manchester City forward?
