Actor Arnold Stang, Voice of Hanna-Barbera’s ‘Top Cat’ Dies

According to chicagotribune.com, comic actor Arnold Stang, who is best known for being part of the ensemble cast of the classic movie “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World” and for being the voice behind the cartoon character “Top Cat,” has died at the age of 91.
His wife JoAnne says that Mr. Stang died of pneumonia on Sunday, at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. JoAnne says that out of all the things he did – television, films, commercials, radio, animated films – radio was always his favorite.
Stang launched his career on radio, in the 1930’s. His talent soon extended to drama, playing Frank Sinatra’s friend in the 1955 movie “The Man With the Golden Arm.” But many will remember him for his voice acting, as the character Top Cat in the 1960’s cartoon.
