Derrick Roland the Texas A&M senior, has suffered a horror injury on Tuesday night on court against Washington. He was led away in the second half on a stretcher, as his team mates and opponents held their heads in their hands.
The incident happened as Roland crashed hard to the court after jumping under the basket, it certainly looks from the photos as if he has snapped his right lower leg. Roland is one of the leading defenders in the Big 12 Conference at this time.
Play continued however Coach Mark Turgeon ran on the court as play had moved to the other end. Four doctors worked on Roland for 10 minutes then he was removed on the stretcher wearing an air cast and loaded onto an ambulance.
