Boy George losses battle to appear on Celebrity Big Brother

British cult singing icon in the1980s Boy George has failed in a High Court bid to overturn a probation order, stopping him from taking part in the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother.

George O’Dowd, who is known as Boy George, was the lead singer in the group Culture Club is currently out of prison and is on probation after serving four months of a 15-month sentence for imprisoning a Norwegian male escort.

48-year-old George was contesting a probation service to allow him to be locked away with other celebrities in the Big brother house. O’Dowd blamed his behavior on drugs; however, Judge David Bean ignored the singer’s pleas. It was believed that O’Dowd was set to receive £400,000 to appear on the reality show. The singer says he is “not overly upset.”
