UFC 108 Rashad Evans vs Thiago Silva: Result and Recap

Despite being plagued with illness and injuries for the past couple of months, the UFC 108 event still took place in Las Vegas last night. And one of the main card fights featured at last night’s MMA event, was the one between Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva.

From the very start of the fight, Evans came out aggressive with some jabs and managed to clinch Silva against the cage. He then went for a takedown and got it, but Silva got up. But he wasn’t up for long as Evans managed to take him down again.

Both men are then up and Silva went for a knee, but Evans caught him and took him down. Evans then managed to clinch Silva against the cage again and landed some good body shots. He then manages to take Silva down again before the round ends.

Even in round 2, Evans managed to get Silva against the cage. Silva then lands an inside knee, before he misses an uppercut. Evans then gets yet another takedown and lands a few strikes. Round 2 ends with both men against the cage, but the round goes to Evans.

Heading into the third round, Evans manages more takedowns. But Silva is quick to get up, now looking frustrated. He then yells at Evans to come on and fight him and pushes Evans against the cage. The fight finishes with Evans being announced the winner.
