Well, it looks like actor Matthew McConaughey has found a great way to start off 2010 – by adding a new member to the family. According to eonline.com, Matthew and his girlfriend Camila Alves, have just welcomed their daughter Vida Alves McConaughey.
The “Fool’s Gold” actor even took to his website to announce the news, posting “Happy New Year everybody!! On Sunday, Jan. 3rd at 12:13 am., Camila gave birth to a healthy 7lb. 7oz. baby girl.” He then said that the name Vida is Portuguese for “life.”
Both mother and baby are said to be doing well. Matthew said that Camila was recovering wonderfully and that they were both truly honored to welcome Vida into the family. Vida joins big brother Levi, who is now 17 months old.
