Unfortunately for the Texas Longhorns, their superstar quarterback Colt McCoy had to leave the game with a shoulder injury on UT’s opening offensive possession. After that, it really seemed as though Texas just didn’t have a chance.

The Longhorns managed to jump to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter of the game, but Crimson Tide scored 24 unanswered points after McCoy exited the game, which happened on the Longhorns’ fifth offensive play of last night’s game.

In the second half of the game, Texas player Garrett Gilbert managed to toss a pair of touchdowns to cut Alabama’s lead to just 24-21. But that obviously wasn’t enough, to stop Nick Saban and his Crimson Tide team from winning the title.
