The “Resident Evil” movies, which originated from the video game franchise, have proved to be quite successful. So when news came out that “Resident Evil: Afterlife” had been pushed back to 2011, fans were left disappointed.
But it looks like they can rest assured now, as it looks like the movie is back on for this year. According to a report at thedeadbolt.com, the latest word on the fourth movie in the franchise is that it now has a 2010 release date.

At first, “Resident Evil: Afterlife” was slated for a January 2011 release date, because the director, Paul Anderson, felt that he needed more time to get the movie ready for its 3-D treatment. But now, it is due out September 10th, 2010.
