Actor and director Mel Gibson, has spoken out recently about the Tiger Woods scandal and says that he feels sorry for the golfer. And Mel should know exactly how Woods feels, as he himself has had his fair share of scandals in previous years.

According to thedailyinquirer.net, Gibson believes that the Tiger Woods scandal has been blown out of proportion. The “Passion of the Christ” director then said “Why are we talking about this when we’re sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan.”

Mel of all people should know what scandal is like, having suffered a marriage crisis of his own and been in the newspapers endless amounts of times for different reasons. Gibson separated from his wife Robyn in 2006, and then got divorced only last year.
