The coach of South African runner and 800m world champion Caster Semenya, has recently indicated that Semenya would be returning to international competition, ahead of the decision by the world governing body on her eligibility to race.
Michael Seme said that Semenya will be running at least three races this year. Despite not having the actual fixtures yet, Seme was sure that Caster will be running. This announcement has led to more confusion and speculation surrounding her future.

He went on to say that there were obviously problems surrounding Semenya last year, and as a result was not able to compete in some big events. According to guardian.co.uk, Semenya received invites to compete after winning the world title, but chose not to.
Semenya, who only celebrated her 19th birthday last week, disappeared from international competition, shortly after the IAAF ordered her to go through gender tests. And as you can well imagine, she was instantly thrown into media frenzy.
The IAAF have not revealed the results of the tests yet, or come to a conclusion about the athlete’s future. An IAAF spokesman refused to give any official comments, until the inquiry was completely over. They also declined to give out a time frame as well.
