Funniest ‘American Idol’ Auditions Ever: What’s Your Funniest?

Ever since “American Idol” first appeared on our screens with season 1, it appears to have become a tradition to have some of the funniest auditions on TV. And some may say that last week’s Atlanta auditions possibly had one of the funniest.

And many of you will now know exactly who I am talking about – General Larry Platt, who decided to give the judges and the people at home a performance of his very own song, which was called “Pants on the Ground.”

Now just the name of the song sounds funny, let alone if you actually watched this guy’s audition. And since auditioning in Atlanta last week, General Larry Platt’s performance video has gone viral, and is proving to be a hit on YouTube.

But that is just one of the many funny and plain strange auditions that we have witnessed over the many years. According to thaindian.com, another funny audition was a contestant from season 9 – Holly Harden, who came dressed as a guitar.

Another funny audition was that of Juanita Burks, who appeared in season 5. She sang what I can only describe as a painful rendition of “Disco Inferno,” while dancing around, and looking like her breasts would fall out of her dress.
