Ex Beatle singer Paul McCartney has revealed that he wanted to team up with former Foo Fighters band member Dave Grohl to join his newest supergroup ‘Them Crooked Vultures.’
Grohl’s supergroup, who are currently starting work on their second album had already recruited bass player John Paul Jones when Paul McCartney spoke to Grohl at the Grammy’s last February, when he asked to join the band at dinner.
Grohl apparently told McCartney that he was starting the band with Josh Homme, but when he asked him who was playing the bass guitar he told Paul “he’d approached John. So you read it here first; Paul McCartney was nearly the bass player in Them Crooked Vultures,” the ex Beatle said.
