American Idol: Shania Twain Joins Judges in Chicago

Last night saw another episode of “American Idol” and this time, the auditions were in Chicago. And according to nj.com, around 12,000 gathered in Chicago to audition for season 9, but only a few contestants earned themselves a ticket to Hollywood.

And country singer Shania Twain was at hand last night, appearing as a guest judge on the show. Last night’s episode just appeared to be a revolving door of rejected singers and attention seekers, such as a woman who called herself “the crazy accordion lady.”

But it was an Asian college student by the name of John Park, who appeared to catch Shania Twain’s attention. The 20-year old impressed the judges with his refreshingly good voice, but it was more the guy’s looks that had guest judge Shania fixated.

“You have a beautiful bottom end,” she told John, who appeared quite stunned at that remark. She then told him that he had a nice tone down there and had nice lips, but finally made a comment about his singing by saying that he had a nice voice.
