I thought that we had all really heard the last of the “Balloon Boy” hoax that happened last year, but it doesn’t appear to be that way. In fact, a report over at thecelebritycafe.com says that we may even see a Balloon Boy movie.
According to the report, the story of Richard Heene and his giant helium balloon may be coming to movie theaters near you, in the form of a short documentary film called “Balloon Boy: Guilty until Proven Innocent.

And the man said to be behind this short documentary film is director Steven C. Barber, who has taken an interest in the Heene family’s balloon hoax. He is also hoping to prove Richard Heene’s innocence in the process.
The documentary will apparently feature footage of the backyard inventor, who Barber says invented the balloon to solve the world’s traffic problems, by allowing people to float their way over congested highways.
Richard Heene started his sentence of 90 days behind bars, on January 11th. He also received 4 years probation and in that time, he is not allowed to profit from the balloon scheme. So the movie may not even happen.
