According to a recent report over at telegraph.co.uk, Manchester United football club has recently decided to ban its players from using any social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
The club has apparently taken control of Twitter accounts belonging to Wayne Rooney and Darren Fletcher, while Ryan Giggs has had both his Twitter and Facebook accounts commandeered.

Facebook accounts for Wes Brown and Rio Ferdinand have also been commandeered. A message on the club’s website says that no players are to maintain personal profiles on social networking sites.
Bookmakers Paddy Power, were in fact holding bets as to which club would be the first to ban Twitter. They are now taking bets on which club will be next to ban their players from using the Twitter site.
