Haiti Telethon in Canada: One-hour special for relief effort

It looks like the Canadians have decided to follow in actor George Clooney’s footsteps recently, by organizing their very own telethon that will raise money for the Haiti relief effort. “Canada for Haiti,” will air today, Friday 22nd January.

“Canada for Haiti,” is to be a one-hour special, and will be broadcast simultaneously on CBC, Global, CTV, MuchMusic, MTV and the National Geographic Channel. And it looks like it is going to feature plenty of great stars as well.

In fact, according to a report at vancouversun.com, the TV special’s guest list is to feature just about every celebrity with a Canadian passport. This includes stars such as Nelly Furtado, Justin Bieber, Rachelle Lefevre and Simple Plan.

Pamela Anderson is also there to lend a hand, along with Ryan Reynolds and Joshua Jackson. And they are just a few of the names, because they also have the likes of Celine Dion, James Cameron and William Shatner among others.
