If you are a NFL fan, then you will probably be aware that the NFC Championship final took place yesterday, between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. And according to suntimes.com, it turned out to be a great day for the Saints.
The Saints headed into yesterday’s game, with only three playoff victories in the franchise’s history. It definitely wasn’t an easy game, but the Saints managed a remarkable 31-28 overtime victory against the Vikings, earning them a trip to the Super Bowl.

In the fourth quarter, it looked like the game could possibly go either way with both teams trying to take control. With only 19 seconds left of the game, Brett Favre forced a throw to receiver Sidney Rice, but Saints cornerback Tracy Porter picked it off.
This of course sent the game to overtime, with the Saints winning the coin toss. Running back Pierre Thomas, who was one of the stars of yesterday’s game with two touchdowns and a 40-yard kickoff return in overtime, just managed enough for the first down.
