It looks like actress Lucy Lawless, star of “Xena: Warrior Princess” and “Battlestar Galactica,” has got herself a new role, that suits her as well as “Battlestar Galactica” did. Lucy is starring in a brand new show that’s called “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.”
And according to rightcelebrity.com, the actress wasn’t exactly shy in saying that some viewers may get offended by the show’s explicit content. Being set in Ancient Rome, it does have its share of sex and violence.

With the topics of violence and sex still being moderately taboo in today’s society, a show that features them is bound to be prone to criticism. But according to reports, 3.3 million people actually watched the premiere.
“Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” premiered on the 22nd January on Starz. The show focuses on the Roman gladiator Spartacus, who is played by Andy Whitfield. Were you one of the 3.3 million that watched the first episode?
