President Barack Obama is scheduled to give his 2010 State of the Union Address tonight and after he has done so, Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell, will then deliver the Republican response to the President’s speech.
And according to hamptonroads.com, McDonnell will be watched by a national audience while he delivers the response message, which is only expected to be a 10-minute address from the House of Delegates chamber in the State Capitol.

When asked about his message, McDonnell told reporters that he will put a happy, positive, pro-business face on the Republican Party. He went on to say that it will in fact be the shortest speech he’s given in a long time.
But it appears that not all the governor’s comments will be positive. McDonnell says that he will also be expressing concern over federal government excess. Obama’s speech will begin at 9 pm, so the governor’s speech is expected around 10 pm.
