American Idol Season 9: Recap of Dallas Auditions

The “American Idol” judges were in Dallas for last night’s episode and yet again, they were joined by a couple of guest judges. According to buddytv.com, the two guest judges on last night’s episode were Joe Jonas and Neil Patrick Harris.

And it wouldn’t be “American Idol” if it didn’t have its fair share of good and bad auditions. The first contestant to audition in Dallas was Julie, who apparently auditioned for season one as well. She may well have improved slightly, but not enough.

Another contestant to audition in last night’s episode was Lloyd “Big SuccSexy” Thomas. He definitely impressed the judges with his voice, receiving four big yeses from the judges and a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Then we had Dexter Ward, who claimed he was the next “America’s Idol.” He not only got the name of the show wrong, but it appeared he got his singing completely wrong as well. Of course he got four resounding nos from the judges.

Joe Jonas soon took over from Neil Patrick Harris in the guest judge’s chair. And it was time for a few more auditions which included Todrick Hall, who got four yeses and a pass to Hollywood, and Christian Spears, who also gets through.
