It looks like “I Kissed a Girl” singer Katy Perry has taken a bit of a liking to the judgmental side of herself. After her appearance as a guest judge on season 9 of “American Idol,” Katy admits that she is totally in love with the role.
In fact, she loves it so much that according to a report at entertainmentandshowbiz.com, Katy said that she is prepared to give up her lucrative singing career, if Fox were to recruit her as a permanent judge alongside Kara, Randy and Ellen.

Katy says that her “American Idol” experience was awesome, and says that if she was offered the job as a permanent judge, she would ditch her music career and take on that career instead. Not sure what Kara would think of that idea though.
There appears to be a bit of speculation about Perry’s remarks, as to whether she was only engaging in loose talk or if there is something really going on behind the scenes. Could we now be looking at Simon Cowell’s permanent replacement?
