American Idol: Stabbing following disagreement over contestant

It appears that a disagreement over an “American Idol” contestant went horribly wrong for one viewer recently, after his girlfriend stabbed him several times. What started off as a slight disagreement between Cynthia Bettis-Ware and Kevin Johnson, ended in a stabbing.

According to a recent report at ecanadanow.com, 52-year old Cynthia Bettis-Ware and her 47-year old boyfriend Kevin Johnson had a disagreement, over an “Idol” contestant’s song choice. When Kevin disagreed with Cynthia, she stabbed him seven times.

Reports say that Kevin was stabbed five times in the back and twice in the chest, with a butter knife. And after being stabbed repeatedly, Kevin was then scalded with a cup of hot chocolate when he attempted to get the knife away from Cynthia.

After Johnson managed to get the knife away, he then left the hotel where they were staying to wait for police help. Cynthia then chased him round the parking lot with a second knife, until she was finally forced back into their hotel room by the crowd of onlookers.

Police arrived on the scene and took Cynthia into custody, where she is now being held on first degree attempted murder charges. Meanwhile, Johnson was taken to hospital and treated for his wounds, which weren’t actually as severe as they had looked.
