Disney may well have been praised, for breaking down barriers for featuring a black princess in its new movie “The Princess and the Frog,” but it doesn’t seem to have stopped them from being criticized for an alleged lack of diversity.
According to a recent report at telegraph.co.uk, Oona King, who was Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s senior policy adviser on equalities and diversity, still isn’t satisfied with Disney, because you never see disabled characters in their movies.

At a recent screening of the movie at the Mayfair Hotel in London, the former Labour MP complained and said that you never see disabled people. “When are you going to see a Disney film with a disabled character in the lead role,” King asked.
It appears that King is definitely on a mission in her new role as Channel 4’s head of diversity. She went on to say that she thinks all the media have a problem, and said that the people making film and TV should really get their act together.
