I swear most of you homophobic bible swinging Christians live in a world of fairies and butterflies and 90% of the time ignore everything in reality that doesn't fit with your current view of the world and what God says. Guess what? If you take a holy book and a holy word and turn it into your own tool for fear and hatred and violence you are the ones that will be judged in the afterlife. And trust me when I say the bible is much much clearer on that then it is on whether being gay is wrong or not. Also if you read the story of Sodom and Gamora, and by read I mean actually read it, not listen to retarded hate filled versions of it, you'll see that homosexuality wasn't the crime, it was having sex without feeling, without love and without conscience. It was rape and violence and incest that was the problem.

Ask Stephen, Kymani, Damian or any other Marley if they like the song “Boom Bye Bye” or if they dance or used to dance to it and they’d be lying if they said no. Buju is one of the Marley’s favourite artists and have collaborated with him on more than one occasion. They support the Banton. And many more support him too. He is a talented artist who is being unfairly targeted. Big up Buju Banton.

Actually, I do listen to reggae and even dancehall music and I like it. But I definitely prefer the kind of music that is “positive,” “uplifting” and “conscious” and that doesn’t promote hatred or mutilating and killing me and other LGBT people.

Buju Banton has been on a more than 20 year crusade of calling for the murder of LGBT people. He apologized for “Boom Bye Bye” in 1992, said that he “doesn’t condone violence” in 1992, then sang “Boom Bye Bye” until 2004. Since 2004, he delivers anti LGBT rants from the stage and he has another anti LGBT routine that he performs.

Buju is clearly as murderously homophobic now as he was in 1992.

I think you are making an assumption if you imply that Stephen Marley’s “Mind Control Acoustic” won for Best Reggae Album because of the GLAAD, GMAD, NBJC, etc petition campaign and the 01/29/10 full page Variety ad, and not because “Mind Control Acoustic” isn’t simply a better album than “Rasta Got Soul.”

The full page Variety ad, powerfully written and signed by more than 20 gay rights, civil rights and anti violence organizations, will have succeeded if the Recording Academy never again nominates a performer who has a reputation of promoting hatred and violence against any group of people.

He is an artist and should be recognized for that. I’m not agree with his thinking on violence against gay but that was long time ago and he was a kid. Now he is indeed a great artist and they say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder if you don’t like his music go listen to something else, if you listen to reggae you must have heard that “it is a ghetto people songs only them can sing these songs”. Have you ever listen and feel Buju’s music? I guess not and it was easier to pass the award to a Marley sure shot, Stephen knows that Buju deserved to win. But I deeply know that Buju really don’t care for an award so your happiness on Buju not wining is really negligible.
My final words:You are acting very hateful, so should I wish you wrong the same way you wish wrong to Buju?
I believe they set him up Rasta don’t deal with Babylon cocaine, Buju don’t need money it was a setup and why not think the gay community is behind this?
