Sometimes it can prove really tough for churches to appeal to audiences on a Sunday if it’s during football season. And when it comes to the NFL Super Bowl, it can possibly prove to be even harder.
But according to businessweek.com, a Los Angeles megachurch has decided to come up to the challenge and is now trying to break through the audiences with its own commercial during the Super Bowl game.

The Mosaic church is said to be among the top six finalists, in the Doritos’ “Crash the Super Bowl” commercial competition. Their commercial, will be a lighthearted spoof on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
A lot of the church’s 3,000 members work in the TV and film industry, and have worked on the humorous ad. If they manage to make the top 3 in online voting, their ad will be aired during the 2010 Super Bowl.
