Oscar Nominations 2010: Complete List Revealed

The nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced today and it looks James Cameron’s “Avatar” and Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker,” are both leading the field with nine nominations each, with Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds” following closely behind.

As possibly expected, James Cameron’s “Avatar” is among the nominees for the Best Picture award. “Avatar” is also joined by “District 9,” “The Hurt Locker,” “An Education,” “Precious,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “A Serious Man,” “Up in the Air,” “Up” and “The Blind Side.”

Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan and Gabourney Sidibe, are all nominees for the actress in a leading role award. And on the actors side, Morgan Freeman, Jeff Bridges, George Clooney, Colin Firth and Jeremy Renner, are all included.

Among the nominees for animated feature film are “Up,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Coraline,” “Fantastic Mr Fox” and “The Secret of Kells.” And nominees for the award in directing category includes Kathryn Bigelow, Lee Daniels and of course James Cemeron.
