Another episode of “American Idol” aired last night and it appears that they had one last episode of auditions to show us, despite us thinking that we’d seen the last in Denver. But this time, it was all the noteworthy auditions that didn’t quite make it on to previous episodes.
According to buddytv.com, the episode was originally called “The Best of the Rest,” but the guys at Fox decided to change it to “The Road to Hollywood.” Don’t worry if you missed last night’s episode, as we have a very brief recap for you now on the best and the worst.

And I will start by mentioning the audition of Jessica Furney, who did in fact audition last year for season 8. Last year Jessica went with a Joplin song but this year, she went for “Footprints in the Sand,” which is in fact a song that was co-written by Simon Cowell himself.
Before she started singing, Simon wished her luck and said that it’s a beautiful song. Jessica appeared to hit the big notes quite effortlessly, and after Victoria Beckham rambled about Simon’s songwriting, she gave Jessica a yes as did all the other judges.
So with Jessica through to Hollywood, let’s look at some of the others. Amanda Shectman started off her audition by doing a Britney Spears impersonation. She then sang her song and Simon says that he thinks she connects with him. She gets 4 yeses and a ticket to Hollywood.
Another contestant back from not making it last year, was Lacey Brown. She sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and of course got four yeses. And we have to mention the contestant called Stephanie Fisher, who was back for her seventh attempt at auditioning for the show.
She may have started off nicely, but she soon came off too strong. Simon just said that it was terrible. Although she did seem a bit distracted by the fact Victoria Beckham was a guest judge. Stephanie got a hug from Victoria, then left before the judges could say no.
