Farrah Fawcett son released to rehab clinic

Lawyers for Redmond O’Neal the son of Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett have pleaded with a judge to release Redmond from jail and be placed in to a rehab facility. Redmond was arrested in December for violating his probation on a prior drug conviction.

However even though he agreed with the lawyers, Judge Michael Tynan said O’Neal’s new drug program will be “justifiably” severe. If O’Neal is not successful in rehab, he will be taken to a sober-living facility. Redmond says he is committed to recovery this time. The trouble is Redmond will need to stay away from his father if he wants a good chance to make it.

Since his mothers death Redmond has been in more rehabs and jails than most rock stars, and he’s still just a kid. The main thing is Redmond has a chance to turn his life around, and with his inheritance he will be able to support himself while he recovers, I hope Redmond is able to get clean; I know that’s what his mother would have wanted.
