The actor, who reportedly met Polanski while filming “The Ninth Gate” back in 1999, recently voiced his disapproval for the way Polanski’s case has been handled by the judicial system. When speaking on Polanksi’s arrest, Depp said “Why now?”

Depp then said that Polanksi is not a predator, and that he was a 75 or 76 year old man with two beautiful kids and a wife that he has been with for a very long time. The list of professionals in support of Roman includes Woody Allen and David Lynch.
