If you are a fan of the classic SEGA video game “Sonic the Hedgehog,” then we have some really exciting news for you now. According to platformnation.com, SEGA have recently announced that the new game “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” is in fact official.
There had been a bit of a mystery surrounding the game before today’s announcement, because it was thought that the game would be called “Project Needlemouse.” SEGA not only announced the game’s title, but said that it will be arriving sometime this summer.

It will be available via Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and the Wii Shop Channel, which means no matter what console you own, you will be able to play your all time favorite game. SEGA have also opened the official website for the game as well.
Obviously more details will be available in time on the official website, but what we do know is that the game is going to be episodic, meaning that it will arrive in playable chunks. The first bit to arrive, when it does arrive, will be “Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1.”
