Reports have emerged that Simon Fullert has had talks with Howard Stern to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol. The controversial radio star appears on Sirius XM, an uncensored satellite radio service.
It is believed that the show wants Stern, because he would clash with the other judges and be suitably nasty; however his nastiness could be over the top and not sit well with many American’s.
Stern’s $100m a year deal is up at the end of the year with Sirius/XM. So this rumor could just be leverage to get a new deal with the radio station. Stern calls himself King of All Media”, has had a 35 year career in radio he rose to fame in the 1980s for his morning radio programme on New York City’s WXRK.
