As we have already mentioned today, the UFC 109: Relentless event took place in Las Vegas last night and as per normal, there were some great fights. But there were also fights that some UFC fans could call rather disappointing.
And one of those fights could possibly be the welterweight bout between Matt Serra and Frank Trigg, which was one of the main card events. The fight only lasted just over 2 minutes of round 1, with Serra being named as the winner.

Serra started off the bout by hitting Trigg’s body with a right hand. But Trigg opened up with some counter punches. Trigg then threw a left straight, but was taken down by a counter right. The ref then stepped in at 2:23, to stop the fight.
Another fight that featured in last night’s event was the bout between Mike Swick, and Paulo Thiago. And it was Thiago that got the fight off to its start, by grazing a kick off the right side of Swick’s face. But Swick was quick to retaliate.
Swick managed to hurt Thiago with a right hand, but the Brazilian didn’t waste any time in recovering. At the end of round 1, the judges were in favor of Swick. Into round 2, and Thiago landed a good low kick on Swick.
He then followed with a kick to the body. But Swick answered with a low kick of his own. Thiago then managed to land a counter right behind the ear, then a left hook. Swick fell to the floor, and Thiago just pounced, winning the bout.
