UFC 109 Bonus Results

It was a really good night for mixed martial arts fans last night, as that is when the UFC 109: Relentless event took place. But it appears to have been an even better night for a few of the fighters, after receiving their bonuses.

The bonuses, which were $60,000 last night, were announced by UFC president Dana White at the post-fight press conference. And the guys that received the bonuses last night were Matt Serra, Paulo Thiago, Nate Marquardt and Chael Sonnen.

They all received $60,000 each, for their performances at last night’s sell out event. According to a report at mmajunkie.com, both Sonnen and Marquardt earned the “Fight of the Night” bonus, for their performances in their middleweight fight.

Paulo Thiago on the other hand, earned his bonus for “Submission of the Night.” He was pitted against Mike Swick in his welterweight bout. And Matt Serra earned the “Knockout of the Night” bonus, for his fight against Frank Trigg.
