UFC 109 Results: Vote on Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman Fight

As a lot of you will know (especially if you are a mixed martial arts fan), another UFC event came and went last night with some great fights taking place. And one of the fights that got a lot of attention beforehand was the bout between Randy Couture, and Mark Coleman.

And it was 46-year old Randy Couture that reigned supreme in last night’s light heavyweight bout, submitting Mark Coleman with a second round rear-naked choke. Couture appeared to set the tone with his boxing, but soon moved to the clinch halfway into round one.

He then managed to press Coleman against the cage, and got to work on his patented dirty boxing. After a bit of a lopsided period, a dejected 45-year old Coleman retreated to his corner. Coleman didn’t have any answers at that stage, and he appeared to know it.

It was into the second round, that Couture managed to take down Coleman. Couture then pounded away with both hands, clinching the rear-naked choke for a victory. According to espn.go.com, Coleman described Couture as tough after the fight, but said he won’t quit.
