Dockers Free Pants: Super Bowl 2010 Ad

If you watched the Super Bowl XLIV game yesterday, then you would have also seen the numerous Super Bowl ads that were shown during Sunday’s game as well. And one of the ads, which aired during the game yesterday, was a Dockers “Men Without Pants” ad.

The ad itself featured a bunch of men, marching through an open field without any pants on. The Dockers’ “Wear the Pants” campaign was given the spotlight during Sunday night’s Super Bowl game, but according to myfoxwausau.com, it received rocky reviews.

While the CareerBuilder ad, which featured a raft of unattractive co-workers wearing only underwear on “casual Fridays,” may have been classed as humorous, the Dockers ad, which aired immediately after, just appeared puzzling for the millions that were watching.

One person event asked the question: “How would a bunch of guys trooping around sans pants sell pants?” Some were disappointed with the ad, while others were a little more straightforward with their reviews, with one saying that the Dockers commercial wasn’t funny, just gross.

This commercial is a long overdue call to those few of us left who see the end-state of every medium trying to make men act like girls and vice versa. Just because so many confused females encourage you to be weak and prance around singing to the world you've given all control to them doesn't mean you should. Put your pants back on men.

This commercial was offensive and sexist. My man is strong and powerful. I certainly don't want some nancy in my home. But I will tell you right now… I was a single mother for 5 years and I wore the hell out of those pants. That commercial says you have to "Be a Man" to wear the pants and I assure you that is not the case. I am not confused. I am capable.
