According to a recent report at latimes.com, stock-car convert Danica Patrick, is due to make her NASCAR debut this weekend in the Nationwide Series race, which is taking place at the Daytona International Speedway.
Patrick managed to overcome a spin to finish in sixth place in an ARCA race at the legendary 2.5 mile tri-oval on Saturday. It was that result, that convinced Patrick and JR Motorsports that Danica was ready to compete in the Nationwide Series.
Although both Patrick and the team were initially weary of entering the race, because of the top-level of talent that the event attracts as the biggest race of the season. Danica is scheduled to race in a total of 14 races at the event.

I’m think they are really pushing this Danica thing. I hope she does well Saturday, but I think she should race more ARCA races before they put her in this situation. Don’t get me wrong I’m a Danica fan, she grew up only 20 miles from me.
