Dr Conrad Murray pleads not guilty

Michael Jackson’s personal physician has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter over the singer’s death. Conrad Murray entered the court house to chants of murderer by hundreds of Jackson fans outside.

Dr Conrad Murray entered the court room and had to face members of the Jackson family. Murray a cardiologist was with Jackson when he died at his rented Los Angeles mansion, has been accused of acting “unlawfully and without malice” in bringing about his death, according to a complaint filed by prosecutors. Bail was later granted at $75,000.

Michael’s mother and father, plus his brother Jermaine Jackson, and other family members arrived at the courthouse. Joe Jackson told reporters that they were looking for justice. Ed Chernoff, Murray attorney said he expected the charge and that they would “fight like hell.” If convicted Murray could spend up to four years behind bars.
