Now that the sixth and final season of “Lost” has started, it kind of makes you wonder what the actors and actresses will do once the show has ended. Well it looks like we can bring you news on at least one of the show’s stars – Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin Kwon.
According to a recent report over at reuters.com, the veteran “Lost” star has managed to land himself a lead role on CBS’s “Hawaii Five-O” remake. And he doesn’t even have to leave Hawaii to film the new series, which must come in rather handy for him.
In CBS’s updated version of the classic cop series, Kim will play Detective Chin Ho Kelly, a sidekick role that was played by Kam Fong in the original series. The part of Detective Steve McGarrett, has not actually been cast yet but “Moonlight” star Alex O’Loughlin is a possible.
And it looks like the updated series of “Hawaii Five-O” could possibly have some potential, coming from hot feature writers and “Fringe” co-creators Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman and also “CSI:NY” executive producer and co-showrunner Peter Lenkov.

A remake of Hawaii Five-0 sounds interesting. I look forward to seeing Daniel Dae Kim in more roles on TV. I enjoy the characters on LOST but not the storyline (or lackof) itself. If CBS finds good writers, Hawaii Five-O has potential for a long run. I remember and enjoyed the original series.
I like the org Hawaii Five-O very much . I belive that it could be a good programs with correct stars cast in the roles
Nancy must be a ‘nonLOST’ fan. Lack of storyline? THE best storyline EVER! I’m really glad that there are offers for these great actors after LOST ends. I really liked Hawaii Five-0, but it lacked acting ability. Again, that was in the 70’s. Acting has come a long way since then. I think he will be a good fit. Congrats to Daniel!
