Betty White and Saturday Night Live (SNL)

The popular comedy sketch/variety series “Saturday Night Live” has been going for a very long time now. In fact, the show is currently on its 35th season. Some could say it’s as good as it was when it first started, while others may argue and say it’s lost its touch.

There have been hundreds of different stars taking their turns in hosting the show over the years, with the latest host last week being actor Ashton Kutcher. But what some people are saying may be good for the long-running show, is to have veteran actress Betty White hosting.

Many of you will know Betty White, who appeared on a Snickers advert during the Super Bowl game on Sunday, from the popular show “The Golden Girls.” So what do people think of the idea of Betty White hosting an episode of the “Saturday Night Live” show?

Well over at latimes.com, they think that it is a great idea. They described Betty as an icon who is a delight to watch, and say that she’s just so cool. And judging by the Snickers ad she appeared in on Sunday, I think I would have to agree with that.

    Hurray!! I think it’s a great idea for Betty White to host the show. She’s a wonderful woman who has been blessed with good health, youthfulness, and a great sence of humour. She brought so much life to the “Golden Girls” and she’ll do the same for Saturday Night Live.

    What a great hostess Betty White would be! Think of all the comic skits that she could written into…especially a take-off on The Golden Girls and even one with Password! Try and get her on!
