Lost Season 6: Episode 3’ What Kate Does’ Recap

The sixth and final season of the hugely popular “Lost” series continued last night, with the airing of episode 3, which was titled “What Kate Does.” And as you tell by the title, a lot of the focus of last night’s episode was on Kate Austen.

And in true “Lost” style, last night’s episode had two parts, with part of it showing Kate off the island and on the run, while the other part showed Kate on the island with the others. So let’s get straight on to explaining the part off the island.

In the part off the island, viewers saw Kate get into Claire’s cab. She then stole Claire’s purse, before chucking Claire out of the car and driving away. She then went to find an auto body shop, and got the guy there to cut off her handcuffs.

Kate then finds a picture of pregnant Claire in the purse she stole, so she went back to pick Claire up and take her to the home of the unborn baby’s adoptive parents. But when they arrived, the woman said that her husband had left her.

So Kate then drove Claire to the hospital, where they find the doctor – Ethan. Now we go to the part of the episode on the island, where Sayid is alive and well, but the Temple Master and the translator want to talk to him in private.

Sawyer ends up leaving, but Aldo, Jin and Kate go off to find him. Kate then betrays the two Others, by knocking them out to escape. Kate then tracked Sawyer down to the Barracks, where a Juliet time capsule is apparently buried.

On another part of the episode, we find out that Sayid is “infected,” and the only way he can be cured is by taking a pill. Sayid was willing to take the pill, but only if Jack told him to. Dogan then tells Jack that Sayid is “claimed.”
