Jon Gosselin and TLC: Legal Battle Finally Over

Well, it looks like the long-running legal battle between reality TV star Jon Gosselin, and the TLC network has finally come to an end. According to a report at msnbc.msn.com, the network issued a statement on Wednesday, saying that it had reached a settlement.

The statement said that TLC had reached a settlement with Jon Gosselin, who starred in the popular TLC reality series “Jon and Kate Plus 8” until it was canceled last year, and that the network would be taking procedural steps to conclude the litigation.

They then went on to state that all the terms of the settlement are being kept confidential, and that the whole of the Gosselin family will remain under contract with TLC. A source close to what’s happening, said that TLC is hoping to start filing the family again soon.

The back-and-forth battle between Gosselin and the network included a lawsuit filed by TLC against Gosselin, which was for alleged breach of contract, and a $5 million counter-claim filed by Gosselin, which claimed that TLC had damaged his career.
