It really isn’t long now, until the 2010 NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament starts. And according to a recent report at msn.foxsports.com, a suburban Chicago urology practice have decided to use the March Madness tournament time, for their vasectomy ad campaign.
Yes that’s right, you did read correctly. Doctors at the 21st Century Urology in Orland Park, says that it is the ideal time for men to get a vasectomy. They have now launched a two-week ad campaign, to encourage men to schedule the procedure during the days before the tournament.

The doctors at the practice have apparently said that picking the time slot during the days before the first two weekends of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, will then allow basketball aficionados to stay at home and watch all of the tournament games.
And get this – Dr. Tony Mammen, who is one of the urologists who set up the ad campaign, says that all vasectomy patients who schedule the procedure for March 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th, will receive a free pizza and bag of frozen peas to help with any swelling.
Well I must say, it definitely is an unusual ad campaign to run.
