Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi Welcomes First Child

I think some congratulations are in order, for model, author and Emmy-nominated host of the popular cooking series “Top Chef” Padma Lakshmi, as recent news from eonline.com has just revealed that she has welcomed her first child recently.

According to her rep, Padma gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday, who she has named Krishna Thea Lakshmi. Both baby and mother are said to be well and happy. The baby’s birth has been called a miracle, and not just because the father’s identity remains unknown.

It has been called a miracle birth, because 39-year old Padma suffers from endometriosis, which in a lot of cases causes infertility. Padma is definitely going to be kept busy now, what with the new baby and her many other projects including designing jewelry.
