I don’t know what it is these days, but there appears to be more and more national days being invented for one thing or another. We have already seen the likes of National Popcorn Day, and we’ve even seen National Cupcake Day as well.
Yesterday was apparently National Margarita Day and today, is said to be National Pancake Day. And helping all Americans observe National Pancake Day, is the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), with their annual celebration and pancake giveaway.

Now we definitely like the sound of a pancake giveaway don’t we guys. According to huffingtonpost.com, from 7am until 10pm, the IHOP will give you one free short stack (three) of their famous buttermilk pancakes. The offer is for dine-in only.
All that the IHOP ask for in return, is that customers consider donating to local children’s hospitals, through the Children’s Miracle Network charity. Since beginning its National Pancake celebration in 2006, they have raised more than $3.25 million.
