George Clooney: Not Selling My Villa

As I reported earlier this morning, recent reports that have surfaced on the Internet suggested that Hollywood actor George Clooney, had been forced to put his villa on Lake Como up for sale after his privacy was allegedly invaded by fans and the paparazzi.

The reports even suggested that there were potential buyers for the property including English footballer David Beckham, and a Russian tycoon by the name of Roustam Tariko. But it now appears that all those reports were actually false.

George Clooney: Not Selling My Villa

According to people.com, George Clooney has issued a statement on the reports that reads: “To complete the news cycle: I am not buying an island and am not selling my house in Italy. The story was made up, then picked up and now denied.”

At the very end of the statement, George – who recently starred in the award-winning movie “Up in the Air” as well as starring in movies such as “Burn after Reading” and “Ocean’s Eleven” – wrote “End of another riveting day of false news.”
