According to thecelebritycafe.com, new reports that have surfaced recently, have got both Chase Crawford and John Krasinski among the list of front runners, to play the role of Captain America in the upcoming “The First Avenger: Captain America” movie.
Apparently it is down to a list of five people, although they may not be the first five people that spring to mind. Joe Johnston – the movie’s director – has recently revealed the top five actors, who are currently in the running to play the role of the iconic superhero.

Instead of going for A-list movie stars, the top five candidates are said to be some of the best of TV’s young rising stars. Leading the list is John Krasinski (The Office), and Chase Crawford (Gossip Girl). Both stars have already started to make the transition into film.
Krasinski starred in the Meryl Streep movie “It’s Complicated,” while Crawford is all set to star in the new remake of “Footloose.” The others in the list are said to be Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights), Michael Cassidy (Smallville) and Mike Vogel (Cloverfield).
Do any of these guys fit the part of Captain America? Or can you think of someone else you would like to see play the part?
